With over 20 years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and managing wired and wireless enterprise geo-spatial solutions Craig has both breadth and depth of experience. His work experience includes working as a GIS Manager, Researcher, and Software Engineer/Architect for Local & Federal Land Management Agencies, the Department of Defense, Private Business, and Academia. Craig holds an MS in Spatial Information Science and Engineering from the University of Maine National Center for Geographic Information Analysis (NCGIA). He is a 2011 Nokia Developer Forum (Qt) champion, co-founder of of the Seattle Qt Users Group, and an active member of Cascadia Users of Geospatial Open Source (CUGOS).
Prior to founding Spatial Minds, LLC Craig was a Senior Software Engineer with Autodesk Location Services where he had the opportunity to develop innovative Location Based Services (LBS) products with partners such as Ericsson, Verizon, and Telefon Italia Mobile as well as design the COM plugin API for Onsite View (a CADalyst Magazine Product of the Year). He has done research at the University of Maine National Center for Geographic Information Analysis (NCGIA), Battelle Pacific Northwest National Labs (PNNL) Remote Sensing Group, and the USFS Wenatchee Forestry Sciences Lab. While doing research with PNNL he re-developed the US Army, Yakima Training Center's entire Geospatial database from ground control points on up, ran a GPS base station for regional differential corrections, and developed custom desktop applications for subject area specialists. Craig has hands on experience and formal training in nearly all aspects of wired and wireless enterprise, mobile, and desktop geo-spatial solutions.
